The Norwegian Breakaway Sailing From New York City to Bermuda
One of the most innovative cruise ships and largest ship in the world, the Norwegian Breakaway is making the Big Apple its home. This 4,028 passengers and 1,595 crew members ship will set sail from New York City’s King’s Wharf to Bermuda in May 2013.

Fly into New York City

Tour New York City in 48 hours
Go to Lower Manhattan to main attractions like Battery Park, the Statue of Liberty and South Street Seaport, Wall Street and other narrow streets with fun shops, cafes and restaurants. Then travel a little farther north to Chinatown and Little Italy areas.
You can walk or take a cab or subway to all these attractions. Take a cab to Rockefeller Center. Tour the Top of the Rock for a 360-view of Manhattan. Spend the evening at Times Square and experience a Broadway show or admire the night lights of the City that never sleeps.
Your next day could start with a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in uptown or the American Museum of Natural History in midtown. Take a walk on Fifth Avenue, visit the Empire State Building and on to Central Park.

Norwegian Breakaway to Bermuda
Your 7-days cruise to Bermuda leaves New York City at 4 pm from King’s Wharf. You will have two full days at sea, three days in the island of Bermuda and another full day at sea before arriving in New York City the next Sunday at 8 am.
According to Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line’s CEO, the Norwegian Breakaway is being designed as New York’s ship. They have the Rockettes from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, one of the most recognized New York City icons as the ship’s Godmothers. This means cruisers will be entertained by two Rockettes on the first six sailings of the Norwegian Breakaway, beginning May 12, 2013 and the first sailing of each month thereafter.
Five-time Tony Award nominated musical, Rock of Ages, will also be featured on the Norwegian Breakaway. The ship brings New York City’s entertainment on board. Cruisers also are treated with two additional Broadway shows, like dance sensation Burn The Floor and Cirque Dreams and Dinner Jungle Fantasy. Also The Second City and Howl and New York’s own Slam Allen in Fat Cats Jazz and Blues Club.
You will not lack in top class New York’s entertainment while on board the Norwegian Breakaway. It is as if you never left New York City while on the Norwegian Breakaway because the elements of New York are brought on board.
To add to the spice and excitement, the Norwegian Cruise added celebrity chef and Food Network star Geoffrey Zakarian to the line up of New York’s flair. The ship features Chef Zakarian’s Ocean Blue restaurant where cruisers can have a luxury seafood dining experience. In addition to the elegant dining room, Chef Zakarian also presents The Raw Bar and Ocean Blue on The Waterfront.

The ship’s top decks are like no other cruise ship in the world. They will feature the first Aqua Park at sea with five full-size water slides, including twin Free Fall slides, a three-story sports complex including the largest ropes course at sea, a nine-hole miniature golf course, basketball court, rock climbing wall and more.
Bermuda
Hamilton, Bermuda is only
two hours 3 minutes flight from New York City. But your fun starts before you even reach your destination when you go on the Norwegian Breakaway. Bermuda is famous for its pink sandy beaches, Bermuda shorts and quaint shops.
The Norwegian Breakaway is currently under construction at Meyer Werft, Germany and will arrive in New York City this May. Cruises to Bermuda will begin early May until October 2013. It will then cruise to Bahamas and Florida and the Southern Caribbean from October 2013 through April 2014.
