Road trip to all the Five Guys Restaurants in Tennessee

Tennessee is known for its comfort food, country music, fried pies, moon pies and homegrown fresh food. No matter when you are taking a road trip, Tennessee’s mild weather and variety of attractions are suitable for people of any age and interest.

Some of the well-known sweet stuff like Little Debbie snack cakes, Brach and Brock candy, Tennessee T Cakes, South’s Finest Chocolates, Goo Goo Clusters and moon Pies were created and are still being produced in Tennessee. (Source: TN Vacation).

Did you know that Mountain Dew, Double Cola and Jack Daniel’s Whiskey are famous beverages that were started in Tennessee? A road trip to Tennessee will cook up a lot of memories of all the variety of comfort food, soul food, southern family cooking and sweet stuff. However, we are taking you on a road trip to find all the Five Guys Restaurants in Tennessee.

Why Five Guys and who are the Five Guys?

According to Five Guys Restaurants, there are over 250,000 possible ways to order a burger at Five Guys, they only use fresh ground beef, there are no freezers in all their locations because nothing is frozen, they use only peanut oil and their menu is trans-fat free.

Sounds healthy? Forbes magazine recently reported that Five Guys is America’s fastest growing chain restaurant. They doubled the number of stores in 2009 despite the downturn in the economy.

To date, there are 26 Five Guys in Tennessee. Let’s start our road trip from Memphis and the West Tennessee region. We will travel from the west to middle and end our road trip in the east in Chattanooga.

Memphis
The first Five Guys restaurant we are visiting is in Primacy Place, 1315 Ridgeway Rd., Suite 100 Memphis, TN 38119. Currently, this is the only location in Memphis. One is opening up soon in Union Ave. Memphis. If you prefer going to the suburb, find one in Bartlett at 6600 Stage Road, Suite 137, Bartlett, TN 38134

While you are in Memphis, visit attractions like Graceland and Stax Museum of American Soul.

Nashville
No visit to Tennessee is complete without a trip to Nashville and the surrounding areas. The middle Tennessee is known for music, mystery, wine and war. Visit Ryman Auditorium, Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry.

Five Guys has three locations in Nashville and we chose 2020 West End Nashville, TN 37203 since it is more centrally located. Finding places to eat is easy for visitors to anywhere in Nashville.

If you prefer to dine in smaller cities near Nashville, try out Five Guys in Brentwood Murfreesboro, Mt. Juliet, Smyrna and Franklin. Or drive 51 miles north of Nashville to Clarksville for your Five Guys meal.

Take a quick drive to Five Guys Hixton location before driving to Knoxville if you want to.

Knoxville
Time to go east to the city of Knoxville. This region is rich in natural beauty, mountains, caves and sports. It’s 181 miles from Nashville to Knoxville. The landscape changes as you drive towards the east. Stop at Lenoir City for your Five Guys (500 Market Dr., # 200 Lenoir, TN 37771) lunch before heading to Knoxville.

Here is a list of hotels within 5 miles of Knoxville. There are 2 Five Guys locations in town and we chose 234 Brookview Center, Unit 101, Knoxville, TN 37919.

We drove through the Five Guys in the smaller towns of Alcoa and Powell just outside of Knoxville. Both towns are less than 15 miles from the Knoxville city center.

Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg
Tennessee’s landscape is so diverse and a few miles away from Knoxville, driving through Pigeon Forge for lunch at Five Guys’ location at 2525 Parkway Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. Continue driving to the Smoky Mountains Region to the town of Gatlinburg.

Visit the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, amusement parks like Dollywood or go on an adventure of hiking, kayaking and tubing. Five Guys is located at 815-1 Parkway Gatlinburg, TN 37738.

Johnson City
Drive further east to the town of Johnson City where there is one Five Guys location 1914 North Roan Street, Unit 101 Johnson City, TN 37601 and another at Kingsport, which is about 31 minutes away.

Chattanooga and Southeast Region
Now you are left with five more Five Guys locations to visit. Chattanooga is famous for Ruby Falls, Rock City, historic tours and Civil War heritage. The city’s lakes and rivers offer beautiful boat rides and riverfront attractions to visitors.

It takes 3 hours 32 minutes driving time to Chattanooga. Chattanooga offers Five Guys’ enthusiasts two locations in the city.
