Besides golf, Sea Island has plenty of activities for those who love water sports and nature activities. Water sports include stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, horseback riding, surfing and fishing.
Guided Hobie Cat Tours are available along the coast and shallow salt marshes. Tours may include nature walks, shelling and lessons on history, geography and wildlife of Sea Island. If you prefer to watch the sunset, take a two-hour Guided Hobie Cat Sunset Cruise and watch the sunset from your boat by the water.
Another popular activity since 1929 in Sea Island is shooting. The Shooting School has one of the oldest original buildings on Sea Island. Young and mature visitors are introduced to tradition and fun of clay target games at the Shooting School.
While you are visiting Sea Island make sure you schedule a clay target shooting lesson at the Shooting School. This facility has three NSCA-certified instructors and one National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) certified instructor. The Annie Oakley Shooting Hour is designed for women and the Air Rifle Bull’s-eye Hour is for children ages 6-12.
Sea Island’s Spa and Fitness Center is a 65,000 square feet facility with indoor pools, fitness center, salon and treatment centers and area for yoga and other fitness classes.
