5 Stops for a Romantic Las Vegas Getaway

Las Vegas may lack the historic palaces of many European cities, but this haven of casinos and endless entertainment still promises places for a quiet romantic rendezvous. Tucked away in a private cove in almost every luxury hotel is a spa waiting to awaken, soothe and restore all the hidden senses of the body.

Whether you are planning to fly or drive, Las Vegas is very easy to get to. There are over 30 airlines flying into Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS). Las Vegas is only 270 miles from Los Angeles and 298 miles from Phoenix, a perfect stopover destination for anyone driving from Los Angeles to Phoenix and beyond.

Here are Travelmath’s 5 stops for a romantic Las Vegas getaway:

1. Spa at Aria

The Spa at Aria is open to guests and non-guests. Book an 80-minute couples massage and relax on plush chaise lounges at the co-ed outdoor therapy pool. Release your stress and tension at the Japanese heated stone beds (ganbanyoku beds). These beds are known to soothe muscles and accelerate metabolism. It also helps stimulate circulation and eliminate toxins from your body.

Other facilities include sauna, steamed rooms and the Shio Salt Room - a lounge with therapeutic salt air and calming music.

3. Ride into the sky at Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower

The Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower is the half-scale replica of Paris Eiffel Tower. Experience Paris in Las Vegas, ride on the glass elevator from Eiffel Tower Restaurant to the observation deck for the 360-degree city views.

The observation deck is open all day. For a romantic experience, we recommend going at night where you get to view the city lights and the surrounding mountains. We recommend stopping by at Kodak’s Total Snap Shot kiosk for a commemorative photo of you and your partner.

4. Cruise down The Strip and take a scenic drive to the Red Rock Canyon

When in Las Vegas do the extraordinary. Rent a classic 60s convertible or an exotic car like a Ferrari and cruise down The Strip and take a scenic drive to the Red Rock Canyon. The Red Rock Canyon is only a half an hour drive from Las Vegas. But take it further and ride on the Red Rock Canyon’s 13-mile Scenic Drive.

The scenic drive passes through desert landscapes, red and buff colored rock formations, sandstone and limestone cliffs that reach elevations of 7,000 feet, according to Bureau of Land Management. The scenic drive opens every day from 6 a.m. to around sunset (sunset changes according to the seasons).
